Cristini Athletics Winter Classic Event 5
Event 5 of the Winter Classic is a Waterfall Fran. It will take place 5 minutes after event 3/4.
This event will start with 1 athlete completing 21 Thrusters. Once completed they can advance to 21 pullups. A the barbell is open, athlete 2 can advance forward to the thrusters. Once athlete one finished the pullups, they can advance to break. Athlete 2 can advance to pullups once they have completed the thrusters. As athlete 2 advances to pullups, athlete 3 can advance to the barbell and being their round of 21.
We will continue in this fashion until all athletes complete rounds of 21-15 and 9 thrusters and pullups.
There will be an 8min time cap on this event.
RX’d men will complete chest to bar pullups and thrusters at 95lbs.
RX’d Women will complete chin over bar pullups and thrusters at 65lbs.
Scaled men will complete Ring rows and thrusters at 95lbs
Scaled women will complete ring rows and thrusters at 65lbs.
THRUSTER
The thruster must pass through a full squat, below 90 and finish with the bar locked overhead, with the athletes elbows, knees and hips fully locked out. A squat clean on the first rep is allowed.
CHEST-TO-BAR PULL-UPS
This is a standard chest-to-bar pull-up. Dead hang, kipping, or butterfly pull-ups are allowed, as long as all the requirements are met. Any grip is allowed, as long as the arms are fully extended at the bottom. At the top, the chest MUST CLEARLY COME INTO CONTACT with the bar, below the collarbone.
CHIN OVER BAR PULLUPS
This is a normal chin over bar pull-up. Dead hang, kipping, or butterfly pull-ups are allowed, as long as all the requirements are met. Any grip is allowed, as long as the arms are fully extended at the bottom. At the top, the chin MUST CLEARLY BE ABOVE THE VERTICAL LINE CREATED BY THE BAR.
RING ROW
The bottom of the lowest part of the wood on the rings must be hung 34” from the floor. A line must be taped directly under the rig, in line with the rig and the rings. The athlete’s heels must be across the line at all times. Arms must be straight at the bottom of the movement (elbows fully extended) and the athlete must rise until the rings touch their chest. The athlete’s body will make an unbroken line from shoulders to ankles at the top of the rep.
