How were you Introduced to CrossFit & How Long Have You been doing CrossFit?
I was introduced to CrossFit by watching Netflix and YouTube videos. I had heard a little about it but had no idea what it was or how it worked. I had seen a video on Netflix about Rich Froning and really liked the way he was working out and decided to give it a try.
I started in January and February 2018 but took 6 weeks off and really missed it so much that I knew I had to give it a second try and go harder with my effort because I was hesitant in the beginning of getting hurt or sore. Once I got passed the soreness and the pain factor I was able to see better results and give a better effort in my workouts.
What Made You Decide to Join Cristini Athletics East Woodbridge?
I joined CFW because it was near my house, it was in close distance for me to go there. I had driven by the place for years but had no idea whats going on in there and my curiosity was growing about what CrossFit was about and how it works.
My favorite Lifts are Power Cleans and Strict Presses and Pull Ups.
My favorite WODs include anything with an AMRAP and EMOM, but all the WODS are amazing I haven’t done one I didn’t like.
3 Things You Would Definitely Find in My Fridge:
3 Foods you’ll find in my fridge are lots of chicken, salmon, cottage cheese and lots of water no more pop or juice drinks.
Favourite Place to Eat:
My favorite place to eat has become my BBQ since I started buying the meat boxes at CrossFit, I love cooking my own dinner meals and stopped buying take out.
My proudest accomplishment has been transforming my body to what I envisioned it to be. I’ve been working out for 20 years and never made any significant changes to my body but within 3 months of joining CFW and proper eating and working out, I’ve been able to lift better and harder then I ever thought I was capable of doing!
Biggest Struggle in Life:
Biggest struggle is self discipline and pushing myself beyond my limits to go harder.
Who Inspires You?
I was inspired by the CrossFit athletes that I saw in the videos about CrossFit. All the athletes were in great shape and had the body that I envisioned for myself which gave me a strong feeling that I could achieve my goals with the workouts we were doing.
What Type of Music I Like Listening to While Working Out:
I enjoy all types of music: Rock, Dance, Hip Hop they all sound good and motivating during a workout!
Anything Else You Would Like to Say (Open Comments):
Joining CFW was one of the best choices I ever made in my life for my mind and body. I love the environment of working out in a group with like minded motivated people that enjoy working out and pushing themselves harder and beyond their the limits. It keeps me on my toes to workout harder and do better rather then being in a conventional gym where everybody does their own thing and keeps to themselves.
